Myrtle Barrows Barnett

Myrtle Barrows Barnett, 99, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Donnell House, Washington, PA.  She was born on September 28, 1924, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Jeal and Norma Dandron Barrows.  Mrs. Barnett was a 1942 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Penn Commercial.  She worked at Bell Telephone and as a cosmetician at Thrift Drug.  Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Catholic Daughters and the Christian Mothers of the church, and the Red Hat Society.  She was a former member of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Elks #776.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

On September 4, 1948, she married Worthy L. Barnett, who passed away on October 20, 1993.  Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Barry) Minor and Debbie Maloy; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel L. Barnett; three sisters, Isabell McBride, Anna McCormick, and Betty McClain; two brothers, Ernest and Grant Barrows.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.  The Catholic Daughters and the Christian Mothers of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish will recite the Rosary at 3:30 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home.  A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.  The Rev. Edward Yuhas will officiate.
