David Patrick Murphy of Washington, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. David was born on August 20, 1964, the son of Earl Paul "Pete" Murphy Jr. and Patricia "Patty" Powell Murphy. Both preceded him in death.

David graduated from Trinity High School in 1982 and would immediately start working at his father's landscaping business, while working evenings as a bartender. It was while bartending that he would meet his future wife, Kimberly Robertson Murphy. Both he and her loved to travel, touring the world before they would settle down to have children. He built a home on his family farm, a piece of property that meant the world to him and he maintained it beautifully. He would landscape for the rest of his life, starting his own business which he affectionately named for his wife, Kimico. He will be remembered by the many trees and shrubs he planted for his customers around Washington and for caring and providing for his family.

Mourning the loss of David are his wife, Kimberly Robertson Murphy; his children, Logan Murphy and Drew Murphy, and his siblings, Lynn Murphy Sylvis, Paul Murphy, and Mark Murphy.

A memorial service for David and his mother, Patricia, will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Covenant, 267 E. Beau St., Washington, PA.
